HEALING FROM VCUG TRAUMA
Writing & Artwork from Former VCUG Patients

Artistic activities can help people process traumatic events by allowing them to express feelings that are hard to put into words. Creating art offers a safe space for emotional release and healing by helping individuals make sense of their trauma, empowering them to regain a sense of control and empowerment.

“People cannot put traumatic events behind until they are able to acknowledge what has happened and start to recognize the invisible demons they’re struggling with." ~ Bessel van der Kolk, M.D.
